There’s a chill in the air and the leaves are turning, and for many residents of central Iowa, that means one thing — Iowa Wild hockey season is here! Since 2013, Des Moines area residents have flocked to Wild games at Wells Fargo Arena to take in the American Hockey League action. Trilix is proud to continue our long-standing partnership with the Iowa Wild again this year as they take to the ice for the 2019-2020 season.
We are always excited to assist the Iowa Wild — the AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild — with their branding and video needs. This season will be our sixth consecutive year partnering with the Iowa Wild. The 2018–2019 season was a great one for the Wild, which finished with a record of 37-26 and qualified for the playoffs for the first time in team history, where the team advanced to the second round.
“We couldn’t be happier to represent the Wild here in our home city of Des Moines,” said Account Manager Alex Rich. “We are ecstatic to continue our relationship with the Iowa Wild. It’s a wonderful organization with great people.”
Video content production for the Iowa Wild was one of our first entries into the world of professional sports. The partnership between the two organizations paved the way for Trilix to cater to some of the most well-known athletic institutions in the country, such as the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, College World Series and Division I Basketball Tournament. As with the previous five seasons, we create branding elements, including, but not limited to, ads, schedule posters, ticket designs, banners, billboards and all in-venue scoreboard signage. In addition to these creative elements, we will continue to produce video content for in-game entertainment and promotions as well as game recaps and social media.
Trilix Videographer and Producer Nick Mongar works with the Iowa Wild team to provide all in-venue and social media video marketing needs, producing additional video marketing for several of the Iowa Wild’s sponsors and documenting each game along with any community events that the team participates in.
“Working with the Iowa Wild is an awesome and unique opportunity. It allows me to creatively document all the inner workings of a professional sports team.”

“Working with the Iowa Wild is an awesome and unique opportunity. It allows me to creatively document all the inner workings of a professional sports team — everything from capturing a great goal or play from an angle you can’t typically see in the stands, to diving more in depth with the players and staff so that fans see what they do not only on the ice, but off as well,” said Nick. “Professional sports present an inherent challenge, because many fans may only get to see their favorite players from a distance, but my desire is to bridge that gap and create content that is both cinematically pleasing and helps fans feel like they’re part of the team.”
The hunt for a Calder Cup championship continues as the Iowa Wild begin their season at home against the Rockford IceHogs at the Wells Fargo Arena on October 4. Team information and tickets can be found at IowaWild.com.
