From account management to creative, our team of almost 50 employees at Trilix make it our mission to fuse passion with purpose for our clients. Our philosophy is encompassed by our name — Trilix — a Latin word meaning three intertwined threads. Each of these threads represents one of the core values upon which our company was founded — relationships, strategy and creativity. We believe that it takes all three elements to produce greatness.
Our Video Department is no exception. They’ve grown from a one-woman team to a three-person powerhouse at our agency. In 2016, they won countless awards for various video work for clients such as Templeton Rye, Stine Seed Company and others. Read on to get to know our talented video team!
Rachel Yancy, Producer/Editor
Rachel manages the Trilix Video Department. When she’s not editing videos for clients, coordinating and assisting in video shoots, conducting interviews and keeping up with industry news and advancements, she’s taking a few moments out of the day to scare Janet, our associate video producer/editor, mid-edit. Rachel is currently working on projects for the Iowa Wild, Balance™ GT, Mechanical Contractors of Iowa and Stine Seed Company.
Outside of her work life, Rachel is an adrenaline junkie. She’s been skydiving and zip lining. Bungee jumping is next on Rachel’s to-do list!
Janet Eckles, Associate Video Producer/Editor
Janet came to Trilix after several months in Iraq working as a freelance video editor producing videos to tell stories and strengthen donor relationships for Preemptive Love Coalition. Now back stateside, you can find Janet plugging away editing videos for client websites and social media accounts, assisting with video shoots and unsuccessfully trying to get Rachel back with her own scare antics.
In her own words, Janet is “probably the only person over age 10 who thought the movie Trolls was an amazing cinematic achievement.”
Chris Timmerman, Media Production Specialist
Chris is Trilix’s newest hire and newest member of the Video Department. A graduate from University of South Dakota, Chris started his career at Trilix as a video intern during the summer of 2016 and joined us as a full-time employee at the beginning of January. While he’s only been on the job for a few weeks, he’s already begun producing and editing photos and videos and helping our social media team take glamour shots for clients.
Chris is pretty committed to his craft. He freelances his photo talents to capture memories for families and spends a good chunk of time collecting different types of cameras. When he’s not behind a camera, you can find him with a metal detector and headphones, roaming around the Des Moines area searching for buried treasure.
